Common Questions
Answers before you even call.
How long do I have to file a personal injury claim in NJ?
New Jersey's statute of limitations for personal injury claims is generally 2 years from the date of the accident. Missing this deadline can permanently bar your right to recover. Contact us as early as possible β evidence is strongest when gathered immediately.
What does 'no fee unless we win' actually mean?
We work on a contingency fee basis. You pay nothing out of pocket β no retainer, no hourly fees. Our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you. If we don't win, you owe us nothing.
NJ has no-fault car insurance β can I still sue?
Yes. NJ's no-fault system covers initial medical bills, but you can still file a lawsuit against an at-fault driver for serious injuries β including permanent injury, significant scarring, or displaced fractures. We'll evaluate your options at no charge.
What if I was partially at fault?
New Jersey follows modified comparative negligence. You can still recover damages as long as you were less than 51% at fault β your recovery is simply reduced by your percentage. Don't assume partial fault means no recovery.
How much is my case worth?
Every case is different. Compensation can include medical expenses, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, and pain and suffering. The best way to understand your claim's value is to speak with us β we'll give you an honest assessment.
What should I do immediately after an accident?
Document everything: photograph the scene, your injuries, and any damage. Get medical attention right away β even if you feel fine. Get the police report number. Do not give recorded statements to insurance adjusters before speaking with an attorney.
